伝統構法で新築中、現場を見学！

「日本の伝統構法を使った新築の現場に興味ありませんか」。もちろんあります。思ってもみなかったお誘いに、喜んでついて行きました。場所は金沢市城南。Iさん邸の建築現場は、木材と蚊取り線香で、いい匂いがしました。その後、解説付きで頂戴したプロセスの写真をここに掲載させていただきます。

日本の伝統構法は、建築基準法に適合できないという理由で、長い間、新築が許可されませんでした。しかし、多くの建築家や研究者が実験を通して、そのメカニズムを徐々に解明しました。その成果として契機となったのが、2000年の建築基準法改正における限界耐力計算の導入です。その後も関係機関で再検討や質疑応答が繰り返されていきました。こうした経緯もあり、ようやく伝統構法でも、今では合法的に設計・建築が可能になったのです。

主要となるポイントは３つです。石の上に柱を載せて建てる「石場建て」、金物を使わずにほぞ・栓などの仕口や継手で架構を組み上げる「木組み」、そして「土壁」。

For a long time, new construction using Japan's traditional building techniques was not permitted, as they did not conform to the Building Standards Act. However, through numerous experiments, many architects and researchers gradually uncovered the structural mechanisms behind these traditional methods. A major turning point came with the 2000 revision of the Building Standards Act, which introduced the concept of limit state design calculations. Since then, repeated reviews and discussions have been carried out by the relevant authorities. Thanks to these developments, it is now finally legal to design and construct new buildings using traditional methods.
